Trimeka Benjamin is the President & CEO of Swim Digital Group, a mission-driven, higher education consulting firm that operates on the principle that the world is full of students whose lives are just waiting to be changed. Swim’s business is founded on removing those students’ barriers to education, irrevocably changing entire generations of students for the better. When Trimeka founded Swim in 2009, she began with the goal of innovating higher education by changing generational poverty through increasing access to education. Swim’s work is accomplished through a combination of decades of higher education experience from Trimeka and her team, deep and meaningful research, and honest, relational communications. The colleges who partner with Swim to address transformational change, enrollment and retention challenges and the student experience. Holding her Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Bethune Cookman University and her Master’s of Public Health from the University of South Florida and with clients at colleges across the country, Trimeka’s personal and professional educational experiences demonstrate her professional commitment to supporting community colleges and Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and her drive to provide educational opportunities to underserved students and to help build economic and social mobility for underrepresented populations. In addition to her leadership of Swim, Trimeka has served as the Chair of the Board of The Spring of Tampa Bay, done work with Girl Scouts of West Central Florida, and co-founded the Women's Exchange, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping women be seated on the boards of non-profit organizations. She is a board member of The Spring of Tampa Bay, one of florida’s largest domestic violence centers, a founding member of The Women’s Exchange, an organization committed to placing women on boards, a Sustainer of the Junior League, a member of Delta Sigma Theta sorority incorporated, Women in Leadership and Philanthropy and International Women’s Forum. Trimeka and her husband, Anthony, are the parents of two sons, Anthony (13) and Christian (6).
